Liderazgo comunitario

Leadership built through service, collaboration, and follow-through.

Before running for City Council, I spent years working alongside community leaders, educators, business owners, and public servants to strengthen Hillsboro and Washington County. This work wasn’t about visibility. It was about showing up, listening, and helping move initiatives forward that benefit the whole community.

Service in Real Rooms

A snapshot of the work and the people that make community progress possible.

A group of people sit in chairs facing a panel discussion in a conference room. A woman stands near a projector screen, while others listen attentively. Company logos are displayed on the walls.

Building inclusive community voice

Six people sit and smile at a table with a Black Advisory Business Council banner, posing for a group photo in a modern restaurant. Two large TVs behind them show a baseball game.

Supporting local entrepreneurs

Ten people stand smiling in front of a wall displaying various sponsor logos, including Amazon, OHSU Health, and Applied Materials. They are casually dressed and standing in a brightly lit indoor setting.

Investing in youth pathways

A Pattern of Service

What follows isn’t a résumé. It’s a snapshot of how I’ve chosen to serve.

Strengthening Our Local Economy & Small Businesses

I’ve worked extensively to support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and economic opportunity across our region, with a focus on inclusion, resilience, and long-term growth.

This work has meant advocating for business owners, helping startups grow, and ensuring economic decisions reflect real-world conditions.

I believe communities are stronger when leadership reflects the people it serves. Much of my volunteer work has focused on expanding participation, representation, and opportunity.

These efforts helped increase Black business participation, create community-wide events open to all, and establish scholarships supporting both academic and vocational pathways.
Effective local government depends on informed, engaged leadership. I’ve served in roles that required careful evaluation, collaboration, and accountability.
These experiences sharpened my understanding of how decisions are made, how resources are allocated, and how public systems can better serve residents.

Investing in the next generation has been a consistent priority in my service.

This work reflects my belief that strong schools, workforce pathways, and long-term planning are essential to a thriving city.

Recognition by the Community

I’ve been honored to have this work recognized by local leaders and organizations, including the City of Hillsboro and state and county officials. These acknowledgments reflect shared efforts and collective progress, not individual achievement.

Recognition and public honors are available upon request and will be posted as the campaign continues.

Why This Matters for City Council

City Council work requires listening, coordination, and the ability to balance competing needs while keeping the community’s long-term health front and center. My volunteer service has prepared me for that responsibility.

I’ve worked across sectors. I’ve built consensus. I’ve followed through.

That’s the leadership I bring to City Council.
